Pierce Brosnan’s daughter married days before death from cancer

Pierce Brosnan’s daughter Charlotte Brosnan secretly wed her long-term artist boyfriend Alex Smith just days before dying of ovarian cancer.

Pierce gave his step daughter away on June 14 at a small ceremony with Bella her daughter acting as bridesmaid.

A source told the Irish Sun: “Bella looked beautiful and wore a wreath of flowers around her head that matched her mum’s.

“It wasn’t a day to be sad. Alex and Pierce were both smiling broadly.”

Charlotte’s mother and grandmother both died of the disease.

Her daughter Bella wrote a moving message for her mother on Facebook,

“I love you mummy!! I really, really do.

“You’re such a special person and you’re my angel.”

In a brief statement announcing the death of his daughter Brosnan said: “On June 28th my darling daughter Charlotte Emily passed on to eternal life, having succumbed to ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her husband Alex, children Isabella and Lucas and brothers Christopher and Sean.

“Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl.

“We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be close at hand soon. We thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences.

Staff at the 60-year-old actor's local church in Malibu, California, have paid tribute to his daughter and promised they'll put on a special service in her memory.

Sister Mary Prendergast, of Our Lady of Malibu Church, explained: "We are very sad to hear about Mr. Brosnan's daughter passing and he is in all our thoughts and prayers.

"Mr. Brosnan has attended the church for some years and his children have attended our school. Today we will put Charlotte's name in the prayer book and when he returns to America we will be here to offer him support and be able to plan a mass in Charlotte's honour, should he desire us to do so."

Pierce - who is devastated following Charlotte's passing - has thrown himself back into work as he tries to cope, jetting from London back to Belgrade, Serbia, to resume filming his new movie 'November Man' on Tuesday.

He adopted Charlotte and her brother Christopher, the children of Pierce's first wife Cassandra, following the death of their father Dermot Harris in 1986.

He and Cassandra went on to have a son Sean in 1983 before her death, also from ovarian cancer, in late 1991.

Pierce has since married Keely Shaye Smith and the couple have two children, Dylan, 16 and Paris, 12.

Kristen Stewart is seeking joint custody of her and Robert Pattinson's dogs

The 23-year-old beauty is said to be missing pet pooches Bear and Bernie "like mad" since she split with Robert for a second time three weeks ago, and wants them to split them up and have one each.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Kristen thinks they should have one each.

"She's missing the dogs like mad, but doesn't want the situation to turn nasty."

The 'Twilight' hunk - who went on a date with Katy Perry last week - was recently spotted with both dogs in his pick-up truck after moving his items out of Kristen's house.

The pair only moved back in with each other in March when Robert returned from Australia - where he was shooting 'The Rover' - and he was said to be looking forward to spending some quality time with Kirsten and their pets.

A source previously said: "The first person he wanted to see and spend time with is Kristen, and of course Bear and Bernie."

Robert dumped Kristen for a second time after she got back in touch with 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders, who she confessed to having an affair with last year behind his back.

Amanda Bynes forced to undergo mental health evaluation after allegedly starting small fire on stranger's driveway

The former child star was taken for a mental health evaluation after police officials felt she ‘met the criteria.’

Amanda Bynes was ‘detained and taken for a mental health evaluation' after supposedly setting fire to a stranger's driveway.

Amanda Bynes was forced to undergo a mental evaluation on Monday night, after the troubled starlet caused a commotion in a California residential neighborhood.
Ventura County fire officials responded to a phone call at 8:38pm, about a disturbance in a Thousand Oaks, Calif., neighborhood involving Bynes, 27, who authorities believe started a small fire at a stranger's residence.
Bynes allegedly set fire to a neighbor's driveway on July 22.

"The fire was in a driveway of a single family dwelling," Ventura County fire captain Scott Dettorre told the Daily News. "There wasn't anything in the report to indicate it was a large fire."
"We did respond with an engine company," he said, adding that Bynes was then taken into the care and custody of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, after it was determined that the onetime actress didn't have any relationship to the homeowner.
