Daddy cool! Hugh Jackman looks rugged as he treats his wife and children to an ice cream during family day out

He's had a hectic few weeks as he promotes new blockbuster film Wolverine.
But Hugh Jackman proved just where his priorities lie on Friday as he took a day off to spend with wife Deborra-Lee Furness and their children Ava and Oscar.

The doting dad took time out from his busy schedule to wander around East Hampton in New York where he bought his family some ice cream.

Getting away from the rigmarole of the promo circuit, the actor seemed keen to just completely relax and do the type of thing that every family does on a sunny day.
Instantly recognisable thanks to his rugged beard, Hugh, 44, wore Khaki cargo shorts and a casual white jersey as he wandered around, sticking close to adopted son Oscar.

Tasty treat: The star picked up some ice cream for wife Deborra and children Oscar and Ava, although he resisted

His actress wife, 57, followed closely behind, holding the hand of the couple's young daughter Ava, who bounded along beside her.
And although they attracted attention from passes by, the star seemed oblivious, only concentrating on having a good day out with his nearest and dearest.
He kept a affectionate arm on his son's shoulder as they walked across the road, proving what a protective father he is.

The family then stopped off at an ice cream shop to pick up some tasty treats, but although Deborra and the children tucked in Hugh was able to resist.
Just the day before the actor was in NYC to promote the new X Men spin-off film, looking dapper in a grey suit on the Jimmy Fallon show.
Hugh's latest film, due out on Friday, follows X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which was released in 2009 and despite dividing critics still made an impressive $374 million at the worldwide box office.
The next installment of the franchise will be X Men: Days of Future Past, which will be released next year.
Hugh has described Wolverine as a 'career defining role' saying: 'It may be the strongest of all the roles I've played.'

Staying in character: Hugh Jackman sported his Wolverine beard for an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday in New York

Now there's another baby George… at Downton: Lady Mary Crawley pictured cradling newborn son days after Baby Cambridge's arrival

  • ·  Last season of the hit show ended with Matthew Crawley dying in a car crash
    ·  Fictional newborn was named George- apparently after King George V- when filming started months ago

  • Just as one aristocratic baby George arrives, along comes another.
In the latest preview shots from hit costume drama Downton Abbey, Lady Mary Crawley proudly clutches her newborn son.
The last time fans of the show saw her during last year’s Christmas special, the character – played by Michelle Dockery -  had just given birth and the youngster had yet to be named.

The series ended with her husband Matthew dying in a car crash, leaving the newborn fatherless.
As filming on the new series started months ago, ITV clearly named the fictional baby George first - apparently after King George V.
The photo will also set off wild speculation of a new romance among Downton Abbey’s many fans.
Posing with his daughter Sybil, Lady Mary’s brother-in-law Tom Branson – played by Allen Leech - also lost his spouse in the last series.

His wife – also called Sybil – died during childbirth.
Now two of the show’s key protagonists have been left as bereaved parents, it seems they may be on the cusp of forming a new relationship.

  • Bad break! Frank Ocean cancels the rest of his Australian tour after tearing vocal cords

Frank Ocean is canceling his sold out Australian tour after only one show because of a tear on his vocal cords.
Live Nation posted on its Facebook page early Friday that the Grammy winner was ordered by doctors to rest his voice after performing in Melbourne's Festival Hall on Thursday night.
The 25-year old's representative confirmed the painful injury and cancellation of the tour's three remaining shows.

Because of his busy calendar Live Nation said the R&B singer would not be able to reschedule the Australian dates but all of the tickets will be refunded.

The 6ft singer was set to perform Friday at Festival Hall and in Sydney's Hordern Pavillion on Monday and Tuesday.

Ocean won two Grammy Awards this year, including Best Urban Contemporary Album for Channel ORANGE.
Chris Brown, 23, refused to join in a standing ovation as Ocean took the stage to receive that award that night.
The openly gay rapper also shared another gong for Best Rap/Song Collaboration award for No Church in the Wild with Kanye West and Jay-Z, taken from their album Watch the Throne.

DEBBIE ROWE To Testify About MJ's Shocking Drug Use

Debbie Rowe will testify in the Michael Jackson wrongful death case that MJ was a SECRET, hardcore drug addict for decades -- testimony that could severely damage the Jackson's case.

Sources connected with the trial tell TMZ ... Rowe will be called by AEG Live Tuesday or Wednesday ... and she'll testify that in the '80s and '90s ... she knew Michael was abusing some prescription meds, but had no idea his habit was so out of control.

We're told Rowe will point the finger at her former boss, MJ's go-to doc, Arnie Klein.  Rowe will testify she learned after the fact that Klein had a standing order ... when Michael came to the office he should be injected with Demerol and Vistaril (which makes the Demerol stronger).

Rowe will say Michael kept the extent of his drug abuse a secret from her -- something that will clearly help AEG, because the company is arguing it had no reason to know Michael was a drug abuser.

Rowe will say she saw Michael on TMZ coming out of Klein's office days before he died -- looking totally out of it.  We're told she will say she called Klein after Michael died and said, "What the f**k did you give him?  He's dead and it's your fault."  She then hung up on him.

Rowe's testimony will further help AEG because she'll say she had no idea Michael was secretly going to surgical offices specifically for the purpose of getting high and going to sleep.

She'll also say she's the only person in Michael's world who could control him -- that she's the only one (including Michael's family) who would say "NO."

The testimony could be critical.  If the jury believes Michael could hide his hardcore drug use, AEG would have no reason to sound an alarm or take preventative action.

Smooches: Jay Z Surprises Beyonce With An Onstage Kiss in Philadelphia

As if we needed another reminder that Beyonce and Jay Z are the cutest couple in the music industry (and the universe, probably), a fan video of the lovebirds has surfaced.
During each and every show on the Mrs. Carter Show world tour, Queen B takes a few minutes to thank her backup singers, dancers and crew. On Thursday, Beyonce got quite the surprise from her hubby while doing her round of thanks at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
Of course, Beyonce’s own photographer was there to capture the adorable moment -- she later posted the pictures on Tumblr.

“Did I really surprise you? Here’s a hug and a kiss.”

“Thanks Jay. Now let me get back to my world tour.”

Ben Foster in Talks to Play Lance Armstrong

See the resemblance? Ben Foster is reportedly in talks to play Lance Armstrong in a biopic directed by Stephen Frears. The movie is being written byJohn Hodge.
Foster stars in the upcoming Ain't Them Bodies SaintsKill Your Darlings andLone Survivor. He also recently replaced Shia LaBeouf in a Broadway production of Orphans after LaBeouf famously trashed the production.
In other Lance Armstrong news, a documentary about the fallen hero has just beenpicked up for distribution by Sony Pictures Classics. Documentarian Alex Gibneyfollowed Armstrong since his 2009 return to the Tour de France, through a federal criminal investigation, an investigation by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and his admission to taking performance-enhancing drugs.
What was intended to be the documentation of an historic comeback turned into a front row ticket to watch the complete collapse of a one-time legend. It will be called The Armstrong Lie. The documentary apparently includes interviews with Armstrong's former teammates, doctors, professionals and Armstrong himself.
"On this long-distance ride, full of unpredictable twists and turns, I learned a lot about one spectacular sport – cycling – as well as the ethic of winning at all costs that pervades most sports and society-at-large," Gibney said of making the documentary.
Gibney previously won an Academy Award for Taxi to the Dark Side. He also recently released We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaksThe Armstrong Lieis set to come out this year.
