Seth Meyers engaged to Alexi Ashe

 

"Saturday Night Live" star Seth Meyers is engaged.

The funnyman recently proposed to longtime girlfriend Alexi Ashe, a rep for the couple confirmed to Us Weekly.

"He's very excited for the next phase of his life," a source told the magazine. "He's known that she's The One for awhile, but it was all about timing."

Meyers, 39, and Ashe, a human rights lawyer, met at a wedding and have been dating for several years.

Last September, Meyers told Elle that an engagement was on the horizon.

"I do see that in my future," he said. "When in my future -- that's less clear. But I do see it."

The engagement isn't the only big change happening for Meyers. He'll take over as host of NBC's "Late Night" next year.

Twilight star Kristen Stewart turned heads in a Zuhair Murad strapless lace jumpsuit with sweetheart neckline at the designer's show at the ongoing Paris Fashion Week.

The 23-year-old actress paired it with pointy heels and finished her look with her signature grungy side hairdo, reported Ace Showbiz. 

Stewart previously channelled a biker chic look at the Chanel fashion presentation.

Kristen Stewart is one of the many Hollywood A-listers who choose Murad's creations for many of their red carpet appearances.

The actress had worn a golden dress with transparent lace to the Breaking Dawn premiere.

Celebrating 4th with parades, fireworks

Fireworks lit up the sky above cities and towns across the U.S. in July Fourth celebrations. The shows followed a day of parades, concerts, and in New York City, the reopening of the Statue of Liberty, which had been shuttered by Superstorm Sandy.
